Cold and Snowy (Part 6)

I’m a little late, but here’s the annual post. This is what I was up to in January of 2025:

  • The kid got her ears pierced, and I saw one of the remaining Blaw-Knox radio towers.
  • I cataloged an odd assortment of Christmas gifts.
  • I cooked steak.
  • Liz broke her ankle.
  • It snowed.
  • I installed handlebars in the guest bathroom.

Things happened! And it was more eventful than January 2024.

Cold and Snowy (Part 5)

In the annual post tradition for the coldest days of winter, here’s what I was up to in January of 2024:

  • I researched how much a Dutch Guilder was worth when Anne Frank & family was sold out – based on a childhood memory.
  • I perfected a good soft pretzel recipe.

Woo! But in my defense I was suffering from a gout attack at the time.

A blog on suburban life. Gardening and cooking and eating, hunting and fishing, home maintenance and projects, technology, husbanding and parenting, masculinity and aging, rambling and pontificating, observing and analyzing; all with a heavy dose of sarcasm, satire, deprecation, and criticism.
